Ballistic Separator
Ballistic Separator separates municipal solid waste based on the combination of size, density and shape. The equipment consists of an access ramp formed of longitudinal drilled paddles, which have a ballistic type movement as a result of their two crankshafts located transversally on the top and bottom parts of the ramp. The inclination of the machine and the oscillatory movement of the paddles separates the inlet flow into 3 different fractions:
◆ 3D: heavy and rolling material like bottles, tins, rubber, textiles, etc.
◆ 2D: light and flat material like paper, film plastics, etc.
◆ Fine materials: sand, rock, remains of food, etc.
